Janet B. Wilkinson
Organizational development consultant with over 20 years of experience.
Janet has led, co-led and facilitated an array of organizations and initiatives through periods of growth and change. She brings a grounded presence to the most stressful moments, a fluid style that suits highly dynamic environments, and the energy and drive to move a project from theory to completion.
Whether leading strategic planning, facilitating change management, or designing governance systems, Janet’s approach builds on strengths and available resources. Her techniques are strongly influenced by Appreciative Inquiry as an approach to change management, and Sociocracy as an approach to governance. This combines to create inclusive, iterative, and adaptable processes to meet each client’s objectives.
Janet’s professional background includes many years teaching rock and ice climbing and mountaineering with Cathedral Mountain Guides. As co-owner of Salt Pump Climbing Company, she assisted with the startup of indoor climbing facilities in Scarborough, Maine, and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She lives with her family in the Eastern White Mountains of New Hampshire, where she volunteers on the Mountain Rescue Service team and is organizing to start a community land trust.
